New sleeper planters

Two new softwood sleeper planters were constructed to create vegetable and herb planting spaces at waist height

The customer wanted to make use of an under used area of their garden to both enhance the visual aesthetic and provide an easy area to grow vegetables and herbs near the kitchen.

We were asked to install two garden planters constructed using softwood sleepers. These sleeper planters were built to last with integrated Visqueen lined walls, perforated pipes to remove excess moisture, gravel lined walls and free draining foundations all designed to stop trapped moisture rotting the timber.

Larch deck boards were used to provide a capping rail to further extend the longevity of these planters.
