Transformed terrace deck

Transforming a dilapidated outdoor terrace into a chic and modern space for entertaining using on-trend Siberian Larch

The owners of this property in The Avenue wanted to update their dilapidated and dangerous terrace deck. The existing deck had reached the end of its life and Smiths Landscapes were enlisted to design and build a new outdoor space incorporating the visionary ideas of the owners.

The stunning new terrace includes a visibly larger space flanked by a balustrade constructed using spindles recycled from the previous deck. The staircase was a bespoke crafted solution that uniquely links the garden with the terrace.

Increasingly popular Siberian Larch was requested as a low maintenance and long life product built on a timber sub-frame with adjustable pedestals and finally the use of anti-slip aggregate inserts further increases its future safety credentials.

Jo said "We had a vision of functional, safe and beautiful decking that had a wow factor. Jason was very accommodating to our ideas and vision, especially around reuse of materials with the aim to be more sustainable. Jason was professional, polite, tidy and good at communicating the plans. We have already booked our next project with Jason and the team. "
